On June 14th, 1776, the good lord decided to bless this great nation once more and gave ole' Betsy Ross a vision. This vision was not only filled with scenes of American troops dominating the battlefield but, the design of American flag. With red and white alternating stripes and 13 stars to represent the 13 colonies. While envisioning Americans celebrating victory over all enemies, Betsy began sewing. She presented the flag to George Washington and he almost fainted from the mass amount of freedoms that came from just seeing it.
Other countries began seeing the American Flag being flown over battlefields and realized we are not a force to be reckoned with. Many decided to join the club and got a taste of the fine, fine drink we all call freedom! The 13 colonies quickly became 50 states and the flag needed to represent all of them.
In 1958, Robert Heft designed the current American Flag that you see being worn here. It has become more than just a design though. For some, it's safety and justice. For others, it's a goal and a dream. For us, its FREEDOM AND SILKIES!
So now, it's time for you to represent the greatest nation on Earth!
