What We Do

Our Mission: Facilitate a peaceful, successful transition from active military service to a civilian life filled with hope and purpose.

We want to connect with MARSOC and USMC combat veterans to help them transition smoothly, peacefully and successfully into the private sector.

The Raider Project: Now in it's sixth year is a key GallantFew Program that remains focused on the US Marine Corps Combat Veteran. Raider Project provided over 300 services this past year to Marine veterans ranging from suicide prevention, drug addiction treatment, PTS therapy, as well as unconventional treatments for TBIs, employment assistance and financial aid. With our ambassadors, we are able to offer peer-to-peer counseling, veteran wilderness retreats, climbing retreats, and fishing trips, as well as community sports programs. To reduce overhead, Raider Project funds expenses through sales of tees and gear allowing 100% of donated funds to go directly to the mission.

We live the MOTTO. "Never above you, never below you, always beside you." We want to connect veterans to the resources they need to be healthy as well as the tools they need for their own success.

We don’t disclose details that identify those veterans we help.  It’s hard enough to ask for help, and can be embarrassing to the veteran and his or her family. Here are some examples of work this year:
  • Provided direct, one-on-one mentoring to help Veterans achieve a smoother transition.
  • Connected with Veterans in danger of harming themselves, helped them accept that they needed help, and helped them get into appropriate care – at times meaning in-patient treatment.
  • Helped Veterans starting or expanding businesses achieve the Veterans Administration’s. “Certified Veteran Enterprise” recognition, allowing them to compete as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in federal business opportunities.
  • Transition assistance provided to numerous veterans through resume coaching, educational resources advice, and networking introductions.
  • Several homeless veterans placed in temporary housing and connected with a local ambassador or aid worker.
  • Matched service animals to veterans battling with PTSD.
  • Provided short-term immediate financial relief in times of crisis.
  • Offered emergency legal assistance.
  • Partnered with Cerebrum Brain Clinic and private donors to help 32 veterans receive treatment for TBIs and PTSD. (*helping with travel costs and expenses)
  • Assisted Veterans will legal issues, ranging from criminal defense to civil matters.
  • Partnered with phycologists around the U.S. providing cutting-edge psychological care for Veterans.
  • Supported the Raider 7 crash with support to families and team-mates.
  • Partnered with Dark Horse Benefits to distribute 133 Tempur-Pedic mattresses to USMC veterans and active duty Marines.
  • Partnered with US Veteran Corps and Toys for Lil Troops to donate and distribute 8,000 pounds of toys to Marine Corps Families during the 2015 Christmas Holiday.
  • Supported the families and surviving Team members of the 2017 Raider C-130 Crash by providing retreat opportunities, wellness programs, and social support networks.

We know we have saved and helped to save lives; we have helped veterans move from homelessness to housing, and prevented others from becoming homeless; and helped veterans obtain jobs where otherwise they would have never had access to the job opening. At the end of  2014 GallantFew logged 695 veteran services.  As of November 5, 2015 GallantFew has logged 743 veteran services. As of August 25th 2016 GallantFew has logged 1026 veteran services. Of note and in response to tragic helicopter crash that killed seven active duty raiders in 2015, Raider Project provided grants and other assistance totaling $84,934.00.

THE THING THAT TRULY SETS RAIDER PROJECT RETREATS APART IS THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED NOT ONLY FOR RECREATION AND RELAXATION, BUT ALSO TO GIVE YOU THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR NEXT MISSION. A SMOOTH TRANSITION, A BALANCED LIFE, AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. IT IS OUR GOAL TO SEE VETERANS SUCCESSFUL IN EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES.
